A personalised email footer that includes your company logo will improve your professional image.
Here is how to do it - if you need help with creating a unique image for your email footer please contact us.
From the main Microsoft Outlook window, on the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Mail Format tab.
In the Compose in this message format: select HTML.
Under Signatures, click Signatures, and then click New...
In 1. Enter a name for your new signature box.
In 2. Choose how to create your signature, if you have a version already created select this under the ‘Use existing signature’ option. If not choose the ‘Start with blank template'.
In the edit signature box, edit the text as required, if you wish to insert an image, your logo for example - select the point at which you wish to insert the image, place the cursor on this point and right click, select Insert Image.
On the Picture tab, click Browse to choose the image.
Insert alternative text.
Click OK.
You will then see the image in the Edit Signature box
Click Finish.
Select OK.
In the Signature text box, type the text you want to include in the signature.
Modify the paragraph or font as required by selecting the text and clicking Font or Paragraph, and then select the options you prefer.
If you wish to insert an image, your logo for example - select the point at which you wish to insert an image of your choice.
When you are happy with your signature, click Finish, then OK. In the Mail Format tab, select the new signature from the drop down menus, select Apply then OK to close.
If you wish to transfer the signature to another computer, or just edit it, the relevant files are stored in this location:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures
or in Vista:
C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\microsoft\signatures
(Substitute username for your user ID)
